Rahaf’s surgery to remove the plates holding her femur together has been very successful.  She is pictured here back in the camp walking with no pain.

Update: Rahaf’s surgery on 15 January, successfuly removed the plates holding her femur together.  She is recovering in the hospital in Erbil for a day then will be transported by ambulance back to the Hassan Sham U2 camp.  Rahaf will be be admitted to the ADRA/AdventistHelp emergency field hospital located in that camp for continuing care and healing.

Operation is urgent. Please donate to help Rahaf.

Rahaf is a dear little girl 4.5 years old whose femur was broken in an airstrike in Mosul last year.  Surgery was performed some months ago and plates were inserted to help with the healing process.
It is now past time for the plates to be removed ….. Rahaf is in constant pain and cold and has been living in a tent with her family in the Hasan Sham U2 camp located 25 kms east of Mosul.

IMG_1546This week Rahaf and her mother were transported to Erbil and Rahaf was admitted to hospital for preliminary tests prior to surgery.  Costs for the surgery, pharmaceutical and food costs are USD500.  This a discounted fee negotiated by our friend Darya Mustafa.

We are currently the only organisation making any financial contributions to fund these surgeries.  Rahaf will be discharged and returned to the camp in the next few days if we cannot fund the full USD500.

Please help us to get Rahaf back on her feet as soon as possible.  Your donations will be gratefully appreciated.
