Update Wednesday 24 January, 2018
Ahmad has had a successful operation that has immediately decreased the pain he was living with on a daily basis. His family are very thankful to our donors for their kindness and support to allow this operation to occur.
Update Monday 22 January, 2018:
Funding for Ahmad’s operation has been promised from an overseas donor. Once the funds are received we will remit to Darya Mustafa to allow Ahmad to have the surgery to remove the two hernias. We are so thankful for the generosity of the donor that will change Ahmad’s quality of life. Watch this space.
Update 16 January:
Ahmad is two years old, has two hernias, is in constant pain and is living in a tent at the Hassan Sham U2 camp 25 kms east of Mosul. Today he was transferred by our Operation Hope team member Darya Mustafa to a hospital in Erbil for checkups and tests prior to surgery.
Darya has managed to negotiate a discounted price for the surgery that Ahmad requires. Surgery will now cost USD500 but with extra for medication, checkups, food will cost USD550. Ahmad’s condition remains serious but surgery cannot proceed until we raise the money from donations.
Please consider donating to this urgent surgery. Please also share this case with your family and friends.
Thank you.
