Operation Hope has supported another food distribution to families in Northern Gaza through partnering charity Refugee Biriyani and Bananas (RBB).

The situation in Palestine continues to be unchanged with little food, water or basic necessities.

Non government organisations continue to have limited opportunities to transport food into Gaza despite continued claims to the contrary from Israel. There is very little security for both their staff and the supplies they are attempting to deliver.

Families living in tents in the camps remain a frequent target of the IDF. The security of camps cannot be guaranteed so are not necessarily a place of safety for families.

Donations to Operation Hope have exceeded $16,000.00 this year, which have been used to support RBB food distributions in Gaza.

Refugee Biryani and Bananas (RBB) has a small team on the ground in Northern Gaza. Their colleague Omneya, with a small group of volunteers, has persisted with the difficulty of obtaining supplies and continues to get food parcels to families most at risk whenever funds allow.

Despite nearly every road being blocked, Omneya and her small group of volunteers went shopping this week and loaded essential supplies into a van for transport to a warehouse where they packed 275 family sized food parcels.

Food supplied is non-perishable that does not require refrigeration for continued storage.

Delivery of the family food parcels has commenced, with 275 families, or about 1375 individuals in this first distribution.

Over the next few weeks there are plans to purchase essential items and pack a further 700 family food packs that will benefit another 3,500 individuals.
