Mohamed worked briefly as a teacher, then as a translator before coming to Australia.
In Australia he was appointed as a consultant to a charity organisation. He is the head of CARD (Centre of Arbritration and Resolving Disputes), operating in the centre as a Family Dispute Mediator. He is a religious leader in Newcastle. He assisted in the establishment of Operation Hope, and works alongside Erica in meeting the needs of refugees and displaced people in Kurdistan.
