Shayma needs eye surgery.  We purchased the glasses she is wearing back in December with the diagnosis that the glasses were to be followed up in one month with surgery. Click for more details

IMG_2019Update 27 March, 2018

Darya Mustafa is organising pre operative tests for Shayma so that she can undergo urgent retinal transplantation surgery in Erbil.  We are so grateful to a private donor in Erbil who has funded this operation that will save Shayma’s eyesight.

Urgent Update 10 February, 2018

Shayma desperately requires a retinal transplantation in a hospital in Erbil.  We have already enquired if Shayma could have free surgery in Mosul but the complexity and specialist nature of the surgery means that she needs the surgery in a private hospital in Erbil.

The surgery, medication, check in procedure and checkups, surgery kit, food and taxi to return back to camp after the surgery will be USD850.

If you can help us fund this Operation please hit the DONATE button.  Please please share this story with friends and family to widen the community of donors.

Thank you dear friends.

Darya, our friend in Erbil (featured on left hand side of photo) is going to follow up in January 2018 regarding eye surgery.
