The need for basic medical equipment for Sinjar Hospital, Iraq remains critical.

Our second 40 ft shipping container arrived in Duhok, Kurdistan on 27 September, 2020.

Dr Hussein Nasser Ra Sho, a Yazidi doctor working in hospitals in Kurdistan and Sinjar Hospital in Northern Iraq had specifically requested medical equipment for the small hospital in Sinjar, Northern Iraq. On 4 August 2014, ISIS committed genocide on the Yazidi people in Sinjar and the surrounding villages. The hospital in Sinjar is struggling to meet the medical needs of the increasing community as the Yazidi people slowly return to Sinjar from the refugee camps in Kurdistan.

Dr Hussein collected our donations of Stethoscope, Defibrillator, Paediatric Ventilator, 680 masks, Oxygen Concentrator, Oxygen Cylinder, Oxygen filling Station with spare parts and Oxygen Analysers from Duhok in Kurdistan. The Oxygen system will be in use constantly especially during this period of COVID where it is very difficult to obtain oxygen in hospitals throughout Kurdistan and Iraq.

The journey continues as the medical equipment is taken from Duhok across the Kurdish border to Sinjar hospital in Northern Iraq.
