2020 Winter Christmas Appeal

Children in refugee camps need warm clothes and shoes.

Winter is approaching fast in Kurdistan. Thousands of refugee and displaced families are facing freezing conditions in filmsy, mouldy tents that will barely withstand the coming rain and snow. Temperatures drop as low as -4 degrees C.

The children need warm clothes and shoes.

There are approximately 45,000 children in the Essyan Camp, Chamishco Camp and Renaga Community near Duhok in Kurdistan. We want to provide jackets and shoes for as many of these children as possible. Priority will be given to children who are orphans, come from single parent families and the poorest families.

Please donate to give boots and jackets to these children.

  • A jacket and pair of shoes for 1 child aged 1 – 10 year old will cost A$28
  • A jacket and pair of shoes for 1 child aged 11 – 15 years will cost A$35

Your donation will buy new items, which will be distributed by our partnering NGO, The Lotus Flower.
